Specialising in London wedding photography I was invited to photograph the civil ceremony of Marta and Alun that took place in Tower Hamlets registry office. Marta telephoned me some time before the wedding asking if I could join them and be part of their Big Day. She explained that the wedding photography was an important part of the day and she could not imagine not having a professional photographer around who could capture those special moments forever. This was music to my ears as I love working with couples who share my passion for photography. I met with them a week before the wedding and explained what they could expect from me as someone dealing with London wedding photography on a daily basis. We went through the details of the day; addresses, times, picture ideas. We both agreed that we want to start with Marta’s ‘getting ready’. This was fantastic as I love photographing this part of the day. It gives you a lot of room for good photojournalistic style of photography which I absolutely love. We than headed for WAPPING HAIR STUDIO where Marta had her hair and make-up done. I will recommend this studio to any bride who is looking for true hair professionals. It could not escape my notice how good those guys are. Back at home it was ‘getting ready’ time; first Marta and then Alun. We had lots of fun, laughter and chat – the usual. You could feel the excitement rising by the minute now. With 20 minutes to spare before the civil ceremony in Tower Hamlet Registry Office we went out to take a couple of portraits alongside the docks. Within this twenty minute time we had all the weathers possible. Sun, clouds, rain and wind (well… missing snow, but you get the idea :¬) Thanks for bringing the balloons Alun. It was a great idea which I knew would certainly work.
After quick portraits we drove off to the registry office in Tower Hamlets. If I ever was to give any piece of advice to anyone specialising in London wedding photography it would be to try and talk your couples into taking you along with them in their car. This will give you great opportunity for taking some fantastic photographs whilst driving to the registry office or church.
At the Registry office I had a chance to meet the rest of the family. I must say this certainly was one of the most emotional weddings I have photographed. Your wedding vows really moved my guys and I truly believe you will have a wonderful life together. I wish you all the best for the future. OK, now on with the pictures…
